THE STATE OF OHIO IS UPGRADING ITS WATERCRAFT SYSTEM FROM WEDNESDAY, NOV. 30 THROUGH SATURDAY, DEC. 3. WE WILL BE UNABLE TO ISSUE WATERCRAFT REGISTRATIONS DURING THAT TIME PERIOD. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.
When registering a boat for the first time you must provide Proof of Ownership, Title, a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO), Bill of Sale, Assigned Registration. All boats need to be registered in Ohio, including canoes, kayaks, and inflatables; even though they may not need to be titled. Titles are required for all boats 14 feet or greater, outboard motors 10HP or greater, and PWCs (i.e. Jet Ski, Sea Doo, etc.).
Boat registrations in Ohio are good for three (3) years and expire each year on March 1st. The cost of your registration depends on the length of your boat, how it is propelled, and which type of registration you are buying.
WATERCRAFT REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE ONLY AT OUR FAIRFIELD, HAMILTON* AND WEST CHESTER LOCATIONS ONLY.
Hours of Operation are:
Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
*(Hamilton location only is not open on Saturday)
