Legal Division Changes in Response to COVID-19

Our Legal Division is still operating all services with minimized staff. The hours for the Legal Division have changed. The Legal Division hours are as followed:

Mon-Fri: 8:30AM-12PM and 1PM-4:30PM.
*The office is closed from 12PM-1PM for lunch.

For a very limited time, staff will e-mail requested documents to Legal Division customers.  The documents will be redacted, as necessary.  If the document is not considered a public document (the requester would otherwise not be entitled to a copy), the document will not be e-mailed.  Please keep in mind that e-mailed documents cannot be certified nor authenticated, as a raised seal is required.  Again, this is temporary.

Additionally, on a temporary basis, our criminal clerk will no longer meet bondsmen at the jail after hours or on weekends to take bonds.

Some Grand Jury sessions have changed as well. These changes are as followed:
  • If you were summoned for Grand Jury beginning on April 6th, your service has been cancelled.
  • If you were summoned for Grand Jury beginning April 13th, your service has been cancelled.
  • If you were summoned for Grand Jury beginning April 20th, your service has been cancelled.
  • If you were summoned for Grand Jury beginning April 27th, your service has been cancelled.

Additionally, some courts have changed their processes. See their statements below.
